Title and Abstract

What are the effects of NPK on algae?

NPK is the short form of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. They are commonly found in fertilizers and animal manure. It supposedly helps with the growth of plants as it is mostly found in fertilizers.

To find out the effects of NPK on algae, we will have to expose the algae to different concentrations of NPK.

Our project is to find out the effects NPK have on algae growth with the goal to control the growth of algae. We chose this topic as people are having trouble with algae concentrations in their fish tanks and pond and that algae is also harmful to the fishes.
